Chocolate Swirl Chocolate Glazed Donuts Recipe
Makes 15-20 Donuts
Perfect for breakfast or dessert, these homemade donuts with a chocolate swirl and gourmet chocolate glaze are sure to make every mouth water. And the best part is, they're super easy to make! We've got to give credit for these bad boys to our very own Oompa, Anna. She did a great job creating this delicious recipe!
- 15.8 oz Bottle CocoaLava Gourmet Liquid Chocolate
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter (melted and cooled)
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1-2 qts olive oil
- Decorative Toppings (Jimmies, Non-Pareils, Edible Confetti, Sanding Sugar, etc).
|1.||Stir flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, baking powder, and nutmeg in a large bowl.
|2.||Make an indentation in the center of the mixture and add milk, beaten egg, butter, and vanilla extract.|
Mix thouroughly until completely blended.
Gently fold in 1/4 cup of CocoaLava Gourmet Liquid chocoate to create a swirl in the batter.
|5.||Cover and cool in refrigerator for 1 hour.
|6.||Heat olive oil to 370 degrees F in a deep skillet or deep fryer.
|7.||Flour a cutting board and roll chilled dough until it is about 1/4 inch thick.
|9.||Use a smaller round cookie cutter to cut out holes in the center.
|10.||Fry donuts in oil until golden grown. (Turn once during frying process).|
|11.||Remove from oil and drain.|
|12.||Allow donuts to cool.|
Glaze with CocoaLava Gourmet Liquid Chocolate.
|14.||Add sprinkles or decorative toppings.|
