Ingredients:
- 1 lb Dark, Milk or White Chocolate, Choose Between:
- Bada Bing Bada Boom Candy & Molding Formula (no tempering required)
- V125 Indulgence Couverture Chocolate (tempering required)
- 1 box of your favorite cake mix
- 1 container of your favorite icing
- Drizzle & Design Chocolate with coloring oil
- Jimmies Sprinkles or Sanding Sugar
- Baking Sheet (9x13x1 works best for amount of chocolate)
Method:
| 1. | Bake cake according to package directions in any size cake pan. |
| 2. | Remove cake from oven, trim off edges of cake and immediately dump into a large bowl. |
| 3. | It's easiest to use a food processor, but you can use a fork for this step. Break up the cake into crumbs and then combine the frosting with the cake. If you're doing this using a fork, it's easier to do it while the cake is still warm. |
| 4. | Place bowl in refrigerator until mixture is cool. |
| 5. | Line a baking sheet with wax paper. This baking sheet should have sides that are at least 1 inch tall. |
| 6. | Melt or temper half of the chocolate according to instructions that came with your Chocoley chocolate. Ideally, use a double boiler (or a double boiler insert). Do not let the water touch the bottom of the double boiler. Only let the water simmer. Do not allow it to boil or you may burn the chocolate. If you must use a microwave, melt on medium heat for short periods being very careful not to overheat the chocolate. |
| 7. | Pour chocolate into a waxed paper coated baking sheet (9x13x1) and spread with a spatula until even. Place in refrigerator until set (about 10 minutes). |
| 8. | Once it has set, remove chocolate from refrigerator and spread the cake and icing mixture over it. |
| 9. | Melt or temper remaining half of chocolate according to the instructions. Pour remaining chocolate over the cake mixture and place in the refrigerator. If you want to add sprinkles to the chocolate, do this before the chocolate sets. |
| 10. | Melt Drizzle & Design according to instructions. Remove bark from refrigerator and decorate away! |
| Tip: Dip the bottom of candles in melted chocolate and place around the cake | |
