Christmas Peppermint Patties Recipe
Peppermint Patties are a holiday classic. They're easy to make, taste amazing and make a great holiday gift!
- 12 oz. of Chocoley Milk or Dark Chocolate
- Bada Bing Bada Boom Dipping & Enrobing Chocolate (no tempering required)
- Indulgence Ultra Couverture Dipping & Enrobing Chocolate (requires tempering)
- 1/2 teaspoon Peppermint Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 lb Confectioners Sugar
- 3 tablespoons soft butter
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
Want to give your peppermint patties as a Christmas gift? We highly recommend packaging peppermint patties in Premium Ballotin Candy Boxes or wrapping them in beautiful foil wrappers!
|1.||Thouroughly mix confectioners sugar, butter, vanilla extract, peppermint oil and evaporated milk.|
|2.||Roll mixture into balls (approximately 1 inch diameter).|
|3.||Place on a cookie sheet lined with heavy weight dipping sheets or wax paper.|
|4.||Refrigerate for 20-25 minutes.|
|5.||Remove balls from refrigerator and flatten the balls into patties. (The bottom of a glass works great for this).|
|6.||Return to refrigerator for 30 more minutes.|
according to instructions that came with your Chocoley chocolate.
Ideally, use a double boiler (or a double boiler insert). Do
not let the water touch the bottom of the double boiler. Only
let the water simmer. Do not allow it to boil or you may burn
|8.||Carefully dip each of the peppermint patties using a dipping tool (ideally) or a fork and place on heavy weight dipping sheets.|
|9.||Refrigerate until chocolate is set.|
