Peppermint Patties are one of the most popular things you can make during the holidaysChristmas Peppermint Patties Recipe

Peppermint Patties are a holiday classic. They're easy to make, taste amazing and make a great holiday gift!

Ingredients:

Want to give your peppermint patties as a Christmas gift? We highly recommend packaging peppermint patties in Premium Ballotin Candy Boxes or wrapping them in beautiful foil wrappers!

Method:

1. Thouroughly mix confectioners sugar, butter, vanilla extract, peppermint oil and evaporated milk.
2. Roll mixture into balls (approximately 1 inch diameter).
3. Place on a cookie sheet lined with heavy weight dipping sheets or wax paper.
4. Refrigerate for 20-25 minutes.
5. Remove balls from refrigerator and flatten the balls into patties. (The bottom of a glass works great for this).
6. Return to refrigerator for 30 more minutes.
7.

Melt chocolate according to instructions that came with your Chocoley chocolate. Ideally, use a double boiler (or a double boiler insert). Do not let the water touch the bottom of the double boiler. Only let the water simmer. Do not allow it to boil or you may burn the chocolate.

If you must use a microwave, melt on medium heat for short periods being very careful not to overheat the chocolate.
